On The Settee (2020 - on going)

As part of Danni's work at CIVIC SQUARE, they have curated multiple seasons of On The Settee, a series of relaxed conversations with artists, writers, creatives, thought leaders, innovators, people who are creating an impact through their work and passions.

The settee, sofa or couch is found in many homes as well as other spaces such as places of work, schools, libraries, universities, waiting rooms amongst other places…the settee (or your preferred choice of word!) is the place where many conversations take place. Sometimes these are one sided conversations, sometimes  these conversations lead to meaningful and deep change and understanding.

The settee is the place where you can be intentional, be open, be vulnerable and be yourself.

On The Settee was born from a series called 'Part Of The Furniture' which explored the objects of a tradition front room, often found in the houses of many who migrated to the UK in the 60's.

BBQ (Black British Queers)  2017 - on going

BBQ will act as a form of ethnographic research through an archive with emphasis on intersectional areas of Black British Queerness, whilst specifically exploring what this means in the context of Britain today.
